EAST LANSING - Monte Pride has self-released his debut LP, "Hawthorne Morning Sound," today.

After two EPs, Pride is releasing this 12-track record, engineered and produced by Elan Dantus in Ann Arbor.

Pride combines cello, acoustic and electric guitar and piano with honest storytelling to create a sound unfamiliar in Michigan music.

The album is streaming on Spotify as well as Bandcamp and SoundCloud.

Pride will also be playing a sold out show tonight at The Robin Theater in Lansing. Opening the show will be Ben Hassinger and Pat Malloy of The Ukulele Kings.

Urban Geographer recently released an acoustic video with Monte Pride performing a track from the new album, "Tenth of June," which can be viewed below.

FFO: Bob Dylan, Iron & Wine and The Tallest Man on Earth.
