Baggage Seeking New Drummer. Names Being Talked About.

BY: ZACH MICKLEA

FLINT - Baggage announced on June 1 they will be seeking to replace Shane Kerchen on drums.

Singer and bass player Jon Diener wrote in a Facebook post, "Our friend Shane is playing his final show with us this Sunday. No bad blood or anything."

Diener also mentioned the band is going on tour through the first nine days of July, so the band is looking to find a new member by then.

No names have been discussed publicly as of now, but Joe Ragnone of Flint-based Porch Lights posted a video on Facebook today of him covering Baggage's song "Twenty-Something."

Ragnone appears to fit all of the criteria listed by Diener in the Facebook post. Nothing has been confirmed, but Baggage's tour is coming up quickly.

UPDATE (2:25 p.m.): Diener posted on Facebook that guitarist Andy Dalton will be filling on on drums for the upcoming tour, but the band is still in search of a full-time replacement for Shane Kerchen.
